From Concept to Commissioning: Engineering Data and Technical Resources for Building Services Consultants

Commercial Heat Pump Specification Support for New Build Projects

Designing a commercial heating system for a new building is a high-stakes exercise. The building services consultant carries the responsibility of selecting equipment that will perform reliably for 15 to 20 years, meet increasingly stringent Building Regulations Part L requirements and satisfy the sustainability ambitions of the client, the planning authority and the eventual occupants.
At ICG Heat Pumps, we exist to make that process easier. We provide the technical resources, engineering data and design support that consultants need to specify commercial heat pump systems with confidence. We are not a catalogue with a phone number. We are an extension of your design team.

What We Provide

Trusted by Tier 1 UK Contractors

Our engineering-led approach ensures our heat pumps pass the most rigorous procurement and design filters, including being specified for new build sites by BAM Construction.
Selection and Sizing Data
Every project starts with accurate data. We provide heat pump selection based on your specific design conditions: ambient temperature range, flow and return requirements, building load profile and diversity factors. No assumptions. No generic datasheets. Performance data calculated for your project.
CAD and BIM Files
We supply 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM objects for all our equipment, formatted for integration into your design models. Plant room layouts, clearance zones, connection points and weight data are all included, saving your team hours of modelling time.
Hydraulic Design Support
For complex multi-unit installations, we provide hydraulic schematic design support including cascade configurations, buffer vessel sizing, primary/secondary circuit arrangements and control philosophy documentation.
Performance Curves and Part L Compliance
We supply certified performance data, seasonal COP calculations and SAP/SBEM inputs to support your Part L compliance strategy. For BREEAM-targeted projects, we provide the energy performance evidence needed to contribute towards Ene 01 credits.
Advanced heat pump systems

Technology for New Build

New build projects benefit from the flexibility to design the emitter network around the heat pump's optimal output temperature, rather than retrofitting around an existing high-temperature system. This opens up the full range of our product portfolio.

For projects requiring natural refrigerant technology, our Midea Mars and Euroklimat Hera ranges offer R290 heat pumps from 20kW to over 2,600kW with flow temperatures from 55°C to 85°C. For large simultaneous heating and cooling applications, Clivet's polyvalent 4-pipe systems deliver exceptional efficiency by recovering waste heat from cooling zones to supplement the heating circuit.

Testimonials

The Consultant's Technical Partner

"Trevor attended site to go through the ASHPs’ operation, how the units work and what heating outputs they can provide, we’re operating with low temperatures ( 35°C F / 30°C R) however Trevor explained that the units can provide much higher heating outputs if required. Trevor was also very thorough when explaining the system and how to use the master controller, taking his time to answer fully any questions asked by the school’s estates team"
